Unlock expert insights into men’s health and testosterone therapy

Doctor-led guidance, clinical updates, and practical advice from Men’s Medical Clinic.

Private TRT at Men’s Medical Clinic starts at £110 a month for the all-inclusive Sustanon plan in year one, falling to £100 a month from year two. Your total TRT cost also includes assessment, blood tests and an initial doctor consultation where needed. Comparing medication prices alone misses prescribing, clinical reviews and ongoing safety monitoring. Treatment is offered only when symptoms, blood results and a doctor’s assessment support it.

All-inclusive TRT membership£110–£150 a month in year one for the listed injectable options

The live men’s health blood test page currently lists a different range of panels and prices, including a Men’s Health & Hormone Blood Test from £120. Ask the clinic which panel and collection method applies to your TRT assessment; do not assume panels with different names are identical.

How much does initial testosterone testing cost?

The home testosterone test is £50 in the published guide. It uses a finger-prick sample to assess testosterone and includes a clinical review and guidance on next steps. It is a starting point, not a diagnosis or a promise of treatment. If you are unsure whether testing is appropriate, the ADAM symptom questionnaire can help you organise questions for a clinician.

How much do comprehensive blood tests cost?

The January pricing guide lists a Standard Hormone Panel at £150 and an Extended Panel at £200. The standard panel covers testosterone and other hormone markers alongside blood count, liver function and lipids. The extended panel adds thyroid markers, HbA1c, ferritin, age-appropriate PSA and vitamin D. The clinic’s current blood test page uses a different product list, with some panels priced from £120 and collection fees shown separately. Confirm the test, sample collection charge and total before ordering.

How much is the initial doctor consultation?

The published initial TRT consultation costs £150. The January guide describes a 60–75 minute doctor-led appointment covering medical history, blood results, fertility, possible risks and benefits, and an individual plan if treatment is appropriate. A consultation does not guarantee a TRT prescription. Read the clinic’s TRT assessment pathway for how testing and clinical decisions fit together.

How much is TRT per month in the UK at this clinic?

These are Men’s Medical Clinic’s published all-inclusive monthly membership prices. They are clinic prices, not a UK-wide average.

TreatmentYear 1Year 2 onwards
Sustanon£110/month£100/month
Testosterone cypionate£140/month£130/month
Nebido£150/month£140/month
Testosterone gel£150/month in the January guide£140/month in the January guide

The newer sheet instead gives a typical £150–£160 monthly cost for gels and creams, without the same year-by-year breakdown. Compounded cream prices depend on pharmacy cost. Ask for a written quote for a topical treatment.

The newer sheet also lists flexible, lower-cost plans at £70/month for Sustanon and £110/month for cypionate. These include doctor consultations and prescription management, but blood tests and consumables are excluded. Their total cost therefore depends on what monitoring and supplies you need.

What is included in the monthly membership?

For the all-inclusive plans, the published guides list doctor-led prescribing, consultations and ongoing support, prescription management, consumables, travel letters where appropriate, treatment reviews and dose or safety monitoring. They list four private blood panels in year one and two per year thereafter, including an annual men’s health blood check. The January guide also lists secure messaging, a sharps bin and adjunct medicines when clinically indicated. These are clinical decisions, not automatic additions for everyone.

First-year versus ongoing TRT costs

For an illustration using the January guide, a £50 home test, £150 standard panel and £150 initial consultation total £350 before membership. Twelve months of all-inclusive Sustanon at £110/month add £1,320, giving £1,670 in year one. Cypionate gives £2,030 and Nebido £2,150 on the same assumptions. With the £200 extended panel instead, add £50. These are examples, not fixed quotes: you may need a different assessment route or incur collection and other individual costs.

From year two, 12 months of the published all-inclusive rate would be £1,200 for Sustanon, £1,560 for cypionate or £1,680 for Nebido, assuming the quoted rate and treatment remain suitable. The flexible plans cannot be compared directly without adding excluded blood testing and consumables.

What can make TRT more expensive?

  • A broader assessment or a blood collection method with an extra fee.
  • A different treatment chosen after discussing response, tolerability, preferences and clinical factors.
  • Extra investigations or monitoring recommended for your circumstances.
  • Using a flexible plan whose blood tests and consumables are charged separately.
  • Pharmacy-dependent pricing for compounded creams.

Ask what is included before committing, especially if you are switching from another TRT clinic and already have recent results.

NHS versus private TRT costs

The NHS may assess symptoms and blood results and, where a testosterone deficiency is confirmed, offer or refer for treatment. Eligibility and the route through care depend on clinical assessment; private payment does not make TRT clinically appropriate. NHS treatment costs depend on where you live and whether a prescription charge or exemption applies. The NHS explains the assessment of possible testosterone deficiency and prescription charges. A private plan pays for the clinic’s specified assessment, prescribing and monitoring services.

Why medication price alone can mislead

A low medicine price may exclude consultations, blood tests, prescribing, needles, sharps disposal and follow-up. Check the total over 12 months, what happens if treatment changes, and which monitoring is included. Regular reviews matter because a doctor may need to adjust or stop treatment in response to symptoms, results or safety concerns.

Frequently asked questions about TRT prices

What is the cheapest published monthly TRT option?

The newer pricing sheet lists a £70/month flexible Sustanon plan, excluding blood tests and consumables. The lowest listed all-inclusive plan is Sustanon at £110/month in year one.

Are blood tests included in the membership?

The all-inclusive plan lists four private blood panels in year one and two each year thereafter. The flexible plan excludes blood tests.

Is the £150 consultation included in the monthly price?

The initial TRT consultation is separately listed at £150 in the January guide. Check your quote before booking. Ongoing doctor consultations are included in the newer all-inclusive and flexible plan descriptions.

Does a testosterone test mean I can start TRT?

No. Your doctor assesses symptoms, blood results, medical history and possible alternatives before deciding whether treatment is suitable.

Can the monthly cost change?

The published rates differ by treatment and by year. Topical and compounded options may vary. Confirm the current price and inclusions with the clinic before starting.
