Confidential, non-judgemental medical advice for men using or previously using anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
Understand what PED use may be doing to your heart, hormones and wider health. A 45-minute consultation with Dr Areeb Mazhar or a member of his medical team gives you room to discuss your use, symptoms and concerns, with testing guided by your individual risks.
Doctor consultation: £150. Blood assessment is selected with your doctor and paid for after bloods are taken at your appointment.
DOCTOR-LED PED HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Your 45-minute consultation is £150. Your doctor will recommend blood testing to fit your circumstances; testing is paid for after your bloods are taken at the appointment. Blood collection and a follow-up results consultation are included in either blood panel price.
START WITH A MEDICAL CONVERSATION
45 minutes with Dr Mazhar or a member of his medical team.
Discuss current and previous PED use, duration, goals, symptoms, medical and family history, lifestyle and the questions you may find difficult to raise elsewhere. Bring any recent blood results or investigations.
This is a medical risk assessment, not advice on cycles, protocols or doses of non-prescribed drugs.
Your doctor listens without judgement, considers your cardiovascular and wider health risks, and discusses which tests or referrals may be appropriate. You do not have to stop using PEDs before speaking to us.

These additional biomarkers may add useful information when assessing cardiovascular and atherosclerotic risk. Your doctor will discuss whether they are appropriate for you; more testing is not automatically better.

Includes blood collection, a doctor-led report and a follow-up results consultation.

PED use can affect more than testosterone, sometimes without obvious symptoms. The consultation considers your exposure and the health areas most relevant to you.
Normal blood results do not make non-prescribed PED use safe. Your doctor will explain any concerning findings and whether further investigation or referral should be considered.
Get medical information about what your PED use may be doing to your body and what to do next. We do not prescribe anabolic steroids for performance enhancement or advise on cycles or dosing of non-prescribed medication.
FOUR SIMPLE STEPS
Book a 45-minute appointment for £150. Bring any recent blood results or investigations, and be open about current or previous PED use so your doctor can assess risk properly.
Your doctor discusses whether the £150 core panel or £220 advanced cardiovascular panel fits your circumstances. Testing is paid for after bloods are taken at the appointment.
Your results are reviewed alongside your PED exposure and medical history. The report explains normal and abnormal findings, what may be related to PED use, the risks that matter most and potential next steps.
A follow-up results consultation is included with either blood panel. Ask questions, discuss ways to reduce risk and understand any recommendation for further investigation or specialist care.
FURTHER INVESTIGATION
Not everyone using PEDs needs extensive cardiac imaging. Prolonged exposure, symptoms, high blood pressure, abnormal biomarkers, significant family history or concerning clinical findings may prompt further assessment.
Depending on your circumstances, your doctor may discuss ECG, echocardiography, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, CT coronary angiography or a cardiology opinion.
Men’s Medical Clinic does not currently provide echocardiograms or CT coronary angiography. If findings suggest heart disease or damage, your doctor will advise on appropriate specialist follow-up.
WHO THE SERVICE IS FOR
This consultation is for men who currently use or have previously used anabolic steroids or other PEDs, including those who blast and cruise or have undertaken multiple cycles. You can speak openly without first stopping PED use.
You may be concerned about your heart or long-term health, blood pressure, haematocrit, cholesterol, liver or kidney results, hormonal recovery after stopping, or future fertility. You may also have abnormal results you do not understand.
Blood tests cannot detect every possible complication and normal results are not a guarantee of safety. If findings are concerning, your doctor will explain whether reducing or stopping PED exposure, further investigation or specialist advice is needed.
